Tadaima!

Salam..

It's been two days since I got back from the Promised Land. I'm a little disoriented; I hope the feeling will go away soon..

To all those who've sent messages asking how I've been doing, thank you very much and I'm sorry for the non-reply.

My entire family has come down with a terrible case of the flu, but I've been told it's a typical occurrence after a trip to the Middle East, so no worries.

Lots of stories, experiences (and pics!) to share, I can't wait to see you guys! :)

Pojan, gambar ni amik kat dalam "Al Siq", lembah sempit sejauh 2 kilometer yang menjadi jalan masuk ke kota lama Petra.

Selain berjalan, bley gak naik kereta kuda sebenarnya. Tapi kitaorang pilih berjalan sebab

1) Kereta kuda harganya USD30 utk 2 org shj

2) Senang nak amik gambar :)

Ha! I was here, um, let's see (2011-1996)... oh gosh, 15 years ago?!!!

And we walked too!

Good to see you back, sis! We were all looking forward for your return.

:)

I'll be off in Berlin this coming Saturday until Sunday (12 June), so looks like I won't be meeting you until then.

But we'll catch up definitely!

Welcome home!

Ati!

All the time I was in Jordan I wondered, "did Ati stay /visited so and so place when she was here??" :p

Honestly it's a beautiful country, if a little dry.. I mean, I'm a big fan of the earth, but there's such a thing as too much of it! The lack of live greenery were really killing me!!!!

By the way, of more than a thousand pics we took of the entire trip, only two of them featured the four of us.. :(

Our parents weren't exactly DSLR savvy (though heaven knows they loved to be snapped by one) so at any given time one of us had to end up behind the lense.

But yesh, taht pictur iz kyoote, thnx.. ^^

Mun!

Thank you! I'm glad to be home as well.. cuma rasa agak keliru sikit.

I mean, imagine spending two whole weeks in spiritual mode.. and then returning to the same old life.

In some ways I have bigger confidence in my faith, but at the same time I'm a lot more afraid..

Gi kenduri kawen the day after I got back and all I could think about was, 'apsal la banyak sangat benda mungkar kat majlis nih?' (=_=)v

Not exactly a positive feeling, ne?

Haih, striking a balance between religion and the ways of life is the biggest test of all.

BUT, I'm glad to be home! ^^

rasa ackward kan? kalau duduk lama2 dalam ihram, then bila balik malaysia nak garu kepala pun rasa takut tercabut rambut.

keep the momentum ON.

eh, i found new word, what is siree, how to pronounce it correctly?

Opie said...

Pojan, my brothers both kena bayar fidyah!

sekor sbb terletak lotion wangi kat kepala masa tahalul kat kedai gunting.. sekor lagi gatal gi garu kening sampai gugur.. haish!

Tapi nak jaga ihram mmg susah.. First time ihram kat bir Ali, sampai mekah pukul 10 malam!

Mmg blur habis mlm tu. Masib baik ikut mutawwif, kut tak sah la semua sesat tawaf sampai pagi kut.. :D

Akibatnya, almost evryone in the group pakat gi umrah sunat lepas tu... good memories.. :)

BTW, siree is pronounced 'seri'. Do you know how to use this word? it isn't exactly useful on its own. It's actually an expression used with yes/no.

1. tulis satu entry pengalaman pertama tengok kaabah boleh? i want to know your emotions and actions.

2. owh yer ker? ingat kan sebut macam sebut cereal without L. hahahahah.

kalau guna mcm ni ok tak?

I'll be off in Berlin this coming Saturday until Sunday (12 June), so looks like I won't be meeting you until then siree.

Pojan,

1. I'd write one, but I don't know if I'm ready to deal with the comments and preconceived ideas that come later.

2. Erm, ayat salah. Kalu nak gak guna, kena ada yes/no:

I'll be off in Berlin this coming saturday until sunday, so I guess I won't be meeting you until then, no siree.

OR

We are going to have a get together after Ati gets back from Berlin next Sunday, yessiree! ^^

See, it's an expression, not a vocab, meaning it's not something you use in a serious sentence..

Kinda like 'yahoo!' or 'hooray!'

Make sense?

BTW, kat mana jer la Pojan dapat perkataan siree nih?

In what context was it used? It might have a different meaning if used in a different way.. can you give me the sentence?

Hehe, english class jap.. ;p
